Raquel

Raquel is the Program Coordinator for Women of Welcome. Her drive to serve and advocate on behalf of refugees & immigrants began after a trip to Clarkston, GA in 2015- where she first locked eyes with refugees and heard their stories. She has loved the international community since she was young, and learned that the nations are in our own neighborhoods and need our Christ-like welcome. She loves the continuous learning and leaning into challenging spaces that happens in this work. Her background is in Emergency Department/Trauma nursing. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oral Roberts University and currently lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her husband.
