Women of Welcome is a community dedicated to diving into the whole of scripture to understand God’s heart for the immigrant and refugee. We believe God calls us to a deep love for the vulnerable, the marginalized, and the forgotten. Together we’re on a journey to understand biblical hospitality in an authentic way.
The Greek word for hospitality is philoxenia; which literally means “the love of strangers”. Our mission is to follow Christ’s example of love, invitation, and generosity, especially to those who are pushed to the margins. Jesus went looking for these forgotten and underserved people, intentionally bringing them back into relationship and community, for God’s glory. We seek to do the same.
Women of Welcome was founded in 2017 and is a collaborative partnership between World Relief, the official relief and development arm of the National Association of Evangelicals and The National Immigration Forum, a non-partisan non-profit working to find positive immigration solutions with faith leaders, law enforcement and businesses around the country.
If you’re new to our community and wanting to connect more personally our ambassador team is excited to hop on a call and answer questions, help you find resources, remind you you’re not alone, or simply encourage you in your journey to understand immigration from a biblical perspective.Sign up for a call
