Privacy Policy

Women of Welcome respects each individual’s right to personal privacy. We will not share your information with any third-party organization without your explicit permission to do so. Personal information you provide is stored in a secure location and is accessible only by designated staff of and contractors for Women of Welcome and the companies that we use for maintaining our databases. We will collect and use information through our Web site only in the ways disclosed in this statement.

Women of Welcome collects two types of information: optional and/or voluntary information that users provide; and information that is automatically recorded in a standard, web server log file each time a page request is made.

Optional and/or voluntary information that you provide (such as your name, address, email, phone number) is collected when you take action on a campaign, signup or take some other action within our system. This information belongs to Women of Welcome and our founding partners, World Relief & the National Immigration Forum, and is not used for any purposes other than direct communication and aggregate statistics.

Women of Welcome sends a variety of updates, alerts, and other communications to persons who sign up for them on our Web site, who take other action on our Web site such as respond to an action, or who contact us directly.  Out of respect for the privacy of our users, we always present the option to unsubscribe from our communications.

Women of Welcome and our founding (2) partners will not share with a third party any personally identifiable information gathered without the express consent of users. We will not share your personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. At any time you can opt out of receiving information from Women of Welcome.

The security and confidentiality of your information is our highest priority. We use industry-standard SSL (secure socket layer) technology to protect your information and provide a safe and secure environment for online donations.

Women of Welcome does not actively market to children, and we never knowingly ask a child under 13 to divulge personal information.

We may collect demographic data through automatic logging files in order to enhance the usefulness of our site.

A “cookie” is a small file assigning you a unique ID that is placed on your computer by a web server. Our website use cookies in order to identify the action taker and to make it easier to take subsequent actions.

We offer links to other Web sites. Please note: When you click on links to other Web sites, we encourage you to read their privacy policies. Their standards may differ from ours.

Users may access their own personal information and contact us about inaccuracies they may find. Subscribers can remove their names from our subscriber list at any time.

If problems arise, users may contact the Women of Welcome. We are committed to resolving disputes promptly.

The data we gather from users is stored on our servers. Industry-standard methods are used to protect the confidentiality and integrity of your personal information. Please note, however, that there is no such thing as “perfect security” anywhere on the internet.  Access to personal data is restricted within the organization and within the company hosting our databases, and all employees are aware that personal data is private.

If you have any further questions about privacy or security, please contact us.

Women of Welcome provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us. If you do not wish to receive such communications, please either click ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of the communication, or send an email to the sender of the communication.

Women of Welcome reserves its right to modify this privacy policy at any time.
