Privacy Policy

INTRODUCTION

Women of Welcome respects each individual’s right to personal privacy. We will not share your information with any third-party organization without your explicit permission to do so. Personal information you provide is stored in a secure location and is accessible only by designated staff of and contractors for Women of Welcome and the companies that we use for maintaining our databases. We will collect and use information through our Web site only in the ways disclosed in this statement.

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USAGE

Women of Welcome collects two types of information: optional and/or voluntary information that users provide; and information that is automatically recorded in a standard, web server log file each time a page request is made.

Optional and/or voluntary information that you provide (such as your name, address, email, phone number) is collected when you take action on a campaign, signup or take some other action within our system. This information belongs to Women of Welcome and our founding partners, World Relief & the National Immigration Forum, and is not used for any purposes other than direct communication and aggregate statistics.

Women of Welcome sends a variety of updates, alerts, and other communications to persons who sign up for them on our Web site, who take other action on our Web site such as respond to an action, or who contact us directly.  Out of respect for the privacy of our users, we always present the option to unsubscribe from our communications.

Women of Welcome and our founding (2) partners will not share with a third party any personally identifiable information gathered without the express consent of users. We will not share your personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. At any time you can opt out of receiving information from Women of Welcome.

The security and confidentiality of your information is our highest priority. We use industry-standard SSL (secure socket layer) technology to protect your information and provide a safe and secure environment for online donations.

Women of Welcome does not actively market to children, and we never knowingly ask a child under 13 to divulge personal information.

We may collect demographic data through automatic logging files in order to enhance the usefulness of our site.
