Women of Welcome Summer Reading

Is there anything better than reading by the pool? Maybe the beach? Or in the mountains? Wherever you like to read, join us for Women of Welcome Summer Reading!

We’re diving into Solito, the award-winning memoir by Javier Zamora. Follow along his three-thousand-mile trip from his small town in El Salvador, through Guatemala and Mexico, and across the U.S. border. Nine-year-old Javier is eager to reunite with his parents in California, but his journey to get there will keep you turning the pages!

“A memoir as gripping as it is moving, Solito provides an immediate and intimate account not only of a treacherous and near-impossible journey, but also of the miraculous kindness and love delivered at the most unexpected moments. Solito is Javier Zamora’s story, but it’s also the story of millions of others who had no choice but to leave home.” (Amazon)
