His love is strong, and won't let go. He holds us with His sacred heart. And even when we're far from home, there's a God who sees right where you are. A God Who Sees (Me & Lucy) – Jason Upton
Read Psalm 139:1-4, 7-10
O Lord, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
You see me when I travel
and when I rest at home.
You know everything I do.
You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, Lord.
I can never escape from your Spirit!
I can never get away from your presence!
If I go up to heaven, you are there;
if I go down to the grave,[a] you are there.
If I ride the wings of the morning,
if I dwell by the farthest oceans,
even there your hand will guide me,
and your strength will support me.
Reflect
God sees you and knows you, even when you feel far from home. Sometimes, that is literal homesickness, and sometimes, that might mean feeling lonely, like an outsider, or far from God, who is our home. How does this influence the way you view and treat those far from their physical home? God’s love and presence are with immigrants traveling to new lands just as much as with you. How are you showing compassion and extending hospitality?
